Today's Lesson: Don't Shoot Deer From Helicopters

If We've Told You Once...

We imagine that in hindsight, Luke O'More is wishing he'd just stayed on the ground.

O'More is the Queensland man who was arraigned Monday in an Australian courtroom on charges he used a helicopter to hunt deer at the York Park wildlife preserve recently.

Prosecutors say Mr. O'More caused the deer "unreasonable and unjustifiable" suffering when he allegedly took to the skies to hunt Bambi without the preserve owner's permission.

The Mercury newspaper reports O'More also faces charges of unlawful entry... animal cruelty... and hunting partly-protected wildlife without a permit or license.

O'More wasn't in the courtroom Monday... it's likely he wasn't flying, either. His lawyer didn't enter a plea just yet, though... that will have to wait until November 9.
