Bob Hoover Will Name JSSI's 'Fly A P-51' Winner At NBAA Annual
Convention
Most pilots start to get that
wistful look in their eye when they see a P-51 Mustang. That "what
would it be like to fly one of those" look. At the NBAA annual
meeting in Atlanta this fall, one pilot will have a
chance to find out. Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) announced its
new "Fly a P-51" sweepstakes Thursday at the NBAA Regional Forum in
Chicago. The sweepstakes, officially launched as of Thursday, will
allow entries until October 20th, when the grand prize winner will
be announced at the NBAA 63rd Annual Meeting and Convention in
Atlanta, Georgia.
The grand prize of an orientation flight in a dual-controlled
P-51 Mustang aircraft through the Stallion 51 Corporation in
Kissimmee, Florida, will be awarded to one lucky participant and
includes round trip airfare to Florida and accommodations for two.
The announcement of the winner will be made at the JSSI booth at
NBAA on Wednesday, October 20th by legendary pilot and historical
aviation icon, Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Hoover. Mr. Hoover, a former U.S
Air Force test pilot, is considered to be one of the founding
fathers of modern aerobatics and flew the Hoover P-51 Mustang at
airshows around the country in the early 1960's.
