The Latest In Aviation News... AND Safety Information... On
YOUR Desktop!
For nearly 10 years now, Aero-News has offered a free,
downloadable ANN "NewsBug" application for all our readers...
allowing anyone to receive the most up-to-date aviation news
headlines on their Windows-compatible desktop. It's one of ANN's
most widely-used resources -- but that doesn't mean it couldn't be
made better, and even more informative.
For the past several months, ANN collaborated with two very
knowledgable and influential people in the world of aviation
safety: Kevin Clover, National FAA Safety Team Manager, and Paul
Berger, Executive Director of the Advocate for Aviation Safety
Foundation, who works to promote FAASTeam events and the WINGS
Pilot Proficiency Program.
An idea that over started two years ago -- but really kicked
into overdrive over a dinner last year at Sebring -- has recently
come to fruition. Last week, ANN, FAASTeam and the AASF unveiled
the revamped Aero-NewsBug, which marries the latest in aviation
headlines with information about important safety programs, and
pilot training initiatives.
Aero-NewsBug brings a continuously updated preview of top
aviation news from Aero-News, and a listing of FAASTeam safety
seminars, to a small window on your desktop. Clicking on any of the
items takes you to the full details on the web. You'll have fast
direct access to award-winning aviation articles created by the
editors of Aero-News, and always be aware of FAASTeam seminars
within 100 miles of your zip code.
"The Newsbug will give people more information, and draw them to
our website and to our seminars," said Clover.
You may learn more about the Aero-NewsBug here. Check
it out... and sign up today. After all, the world can't have enough
well-informed, and SAFE aviators out there!
