TSA Awards $4 Million Contract To TASC

Company to Support TSA's $350 Million Test And Evaluation (TESS) Program

TSA has awarded TASC, Inc. the first task order under its $350 million Test and Evaluation Support Services (TESS) program.  Under the contract, TASC will be responsible for testing and evaluating TSA equipment and operations at many locations across the United States.  This first TESS contract is valued at nearly $4.1 million for a six-month period of performance.

The scope of the contract covers a range of advanced engineering services, including modeling and simulation as well as comprehensive planning, analysis, testing and evaluation.  TASC will test and evaluate technologies in laboratory, simulated and field environments. "For more than a decade, TASC has supported the federal government's transportation security efforts," says Pamela Drew, vice president of Enterprise Systems at TASC.  "We look forward to this next phase in our partnership with TSA and other homeland security agencies."

TSA selected TASC to compete for task orders under the TESS indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.  The IDIQ has a ceiling value of $350 million for all awardees.
