First European Presentation Of Its Latest PC-12 NG
The 2016 model of the Pilatus PC-12 NG is on display for the first time in Europe at this year's European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva.
The PC-12 NG has been improved even further for 2016. The best-selling single-engine turboprop new boasts a five-blade composite propeller and a variety of aerodynamic enhancements resulting in a higher cruise speed, better takeoff and climb performance and a greater range – all for the same fuel consumption. The PC-12 NG's maximum cruise speed has been increased to 285 knots. The takeoff distance required is just 2,600 ft to the 50-foot obstacle clearance. At maximum takeoff weight, the new PC-12 NG is capable of attaining a cruising altitude of 28,000 ft almost three minutes faster than previous models. The aircraft's maximum range has also been slightly extended to 1,840 nautical miles with VFR reserves.
Pilatus joined forces with Designworks, a BMW Group Company, to create a range of innovative and stylish designs, using new materials and colours, for the PC-12 NG cabin. The two companies have been working together for over a decade. The PC-12 comes equipped with a toilet, a fully integrated luggage area and a completely flat floor – unlike many other aircraft which have a recessed, tiered central aisle. A new five-blade propeller keeps noise to an absolute minimum, making the cabin experience even more pleasant.
The worldwide fleet of almost 1400 PC-12s has now racked up over five million hours in the air. With its spacious cabin and unique cargo door, the PC-12 NG is well adapted to a wide range of missions. This versatility is much appreciated by owners and generates a high level of demand for the PC-12 NG.
Beginning in late 2017, Pilatus will have another all-rounder on the market and a mutually complementary product family: the PC-12 NG and the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet.
