Company Says It Is Producing The World's Smallest Quadcopter

Aircraft And Controller Can Be Carried In Your Hip Pocket

A quadcopter and controller that can be slipped into a back pocket is being developed by a company called Walled Drone ... which has established a crowdfunding campaign on the site IndiGoGo to fund the project.

The company says on the site that it saw a need for such a small UAV, and that potential users wanted to be able to charge it "on the go." The Wallet Drone combines both ideas into one design: a compact controller that docks the "World's Smallest Quadcopter" inside of its case and charges the drone without the need for wires or access to a USB port.

The company says that the aircraft comes fully assembled and ready to fly after a short 15 minute charge with 4-AA batteries in the remote control docking station or via the included USB cable. Each Wallet Drone comes with the Drone itself, a wallet sized 2.4gHz remote controller/docking station, a USB charging cable and one spare set of blades.

The company has so far raised just over $25,000 for the effort, which it says is 212% of its stated goal. There are still 41 days left in the IndiGoGo campaign.
