EASA Certifies Bombardier's Challenger 650

Granted Full Type Certification By The European Aviation Safety Agency

EASA has granted full type certification to the Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft.

"Our Challenger 650 aircraft successfully entered into service in 2015 and is now about to make its European debut in 2016. Demand for this aircraft is strong around the world and with certification now in-hand, we are eager for EASA-registered customers to experience this brand new jet," said David Coleal, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Customers who are already operating the aircraft are delighted with its new cabin design, increased comfort and added productivity," he mentioned.

The aesthetics, ergonomics and technologies of the new Challenger 650 aircraft cabin redefine high-end comfort, convenience and control including angled touchscreen controller, metal accent trim and even wider seats.

With its proven reliability drawn from aviation's best-selling large business jet platform and top customer-rated product support, the new Challenger 650 aircraft leads the pack with unmatched dependability and the lowest direct operating costs in its class.

Challenger 600 Series jets are the most delivered Medium category aircraft of all time in Europe, and account for the largest installed base in its segment in the region.

In 2015, Bombardier Business Aircraft was the market share leader in terms of installed base and deliveries in Europe, in the segments where it competes.
