Fisher Flying Products Restarts Kit Production

First Two Models Offered As Full Kits, Sub-Kits And Plans

Following the company's move to a new factory in Woodbridge, Ontario Canada, Fisher Flying Products tells ANN it is now ready to begin kit production for two of the company's aircraft.

The first two kits to be offered are the E-LSA eligible Dakota Hawk, and the low cost FP-202 Koala.

The Dakota Hawk is a high wing two-seat aircraft, that can be powered by a wide variety of engines in the 80-120hp range. According to Fisher, there are more than 75 Dakota Hawks flying or under construction worldwide. The more-powerful FP-202 Koala is the most popular aircraft in the Fisher line, and had been available for over 20 years.

Both aircraft are constructed using Fisher's wood geodetic construction technique, that the companys says gives anyone with common woodworking tools the ability to build an aircraft without investing in new equipment.

The aircraft are available as complete airframe kits, or in three sub-kits that let a builder spread the cost of construction out over the life of the project. All wood and metal parts needed to complete the aircraft are cut to size and shaped to allow for easy and quick construction.

Full-sized plans will continue to be available for all 14 designs in the Fisher Flying Products fleet -- including the R-80 Tiger Moth -- and kits for other designs in the Fisher line will be available in the future.
