Source: Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services, discussing Raytheon's selection of Jim Ullmann, the National Air Traffic Controllers Association's Director of Safety and Technology, as the 2019 Air Traffic Controller of the Year. Established by Raytheon, the award honors controllers for outstanding efforts to improve air traffic control quality, safety or efficiency. The announcement was made during the annual NATCA Communicating for Safety conference, which took place Sept. 16-18.
