Cirrus On Pace to Sell 630 Aircraft This Year

It's Only September And Cirrus Sales Already Surpassed 2003 Total

Cirrus announced this week that 2004 year to date sales orders have already surpassed the total number of aircraft deliveries in 2003. Last year Cirrus reported 469 aircraft deliveries to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association with each delivery going directly to a customer. Last week Cirrus reported selling their 475th aircraft for 2004.

"Recently we had an incredible week [43 aircraft sold] that pushed us passed last year's delivery total," said John M. Bingham, executive vice president of sales at Cirrus. "At this pace, we're on track to sell 630 planes in 2004, well in excess of the original sales projection of 542," he added.

Cirrus says there are only 45 delivery spots left before the close of the year for anyone desirous of taking advantage of the generous tax benefits of the JOBS and Growth Tax Relief Act for accelerated depreciation on new aircraft purchased before December 31, 2004.
