WACO Classic Aircraft Offers Upgraded Avionics

Panel-Mounted GPS Now Included On New Biplanes

Hot on the heels of its recent transfer of ownership, WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation told ANN this weekend that all newly manufactured WACO YMF biplanes now feature an updated Garmin avionics panel, including panel mounted GPS with moving map.

A stainless steel exhaust system is also standard on all new production WACOs, the company added.

As ANN reported, the planemaker announced in June that Peter F. Bowers was its new owner. Company officials said at the time its new management team would continue to combine traditional aircraft manufacturing, and technological advancements in its planes, as well as providing service and support of existing WACO aircraft and other vintage and historic planes.

Based in Battle Creek, MI, WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation is the world’s only manufacturer of new FAA-certified 1930s-era classic biplanes, and currently produces the WACO YMF-5 Super.
