Source: An anonymous Homeland Security official, on the revelation a piece of equipment containing bank records and other personal information for roughly 100,000 employees went missing last week. The TSA initially said it was a hard drive -- not an entire laptop computer -- that was missing. In any case, the agency has offered to pay for a credit monitoring service for one year, which includes all three national credit bureau reports, fraud alerts, detection of fraudulent activity, and identify theft, and fraud resolution and assistance.
