HAI/USAIG/FAA Publish Book Of Safety Posters

Commemorating twenty years of safety messages, the Helicopter Association International (HAI) in partnership with the United States Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG), and with the enthusiastic support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has published a compendium of timeless safety posters to help enhance safety throughout the rotorcraft industry.

Since 1983, these posters have adorned the walls of many of our operators. They are reminders of the importance of operators dedicating themselves to the promotion of safety, and the need for adhering to a safety culture within our industry.

The safety messages are varied and focused, and cover many specific themes. They promote safety in the air, on the ground, in the hanger, and address the major causes of helicopter accidents. Of the 100 posters originally produced, over 150,000 copies have been distributed.

The dynamic, full color, case bound book, featuring 81 posters, is titled Safety First! Twenty Years of Safety Messages. It will make its appearance at HAI's 55th annual meeting, HELI-EXPO 2003 in Dallas, Texas, held February 9-11. HAI will also distribute copies of this book to its membership over the next several months.

HAI is the professional trade association for the civil helicopter industry. Its 1,500-plus-member organizations and 1,400-plus individual members, in more than 70 nations, safely operate more than 5,000 helicopters approximately 2 million hours each year.
