FAA Awards ETASS Contracts

Provides For Broad Technical And Professional Services

The FAA has awarded three $400 million contracts for the ETASS (EnRoute Technical Assistance Support Services) program. These replaced two contracts that ended in February for the Oceanic Integration Support and the Technical Assistance Contract.

The winners of these contracts, Human Solutions Inc., SRA International Inc., and TASC Inc., are tasked with support services initiatives for the National Airspace System (NAS). Human Solutions, a long standing FAA contractor with a reputation for quality work and on-time delivery, has chosen Flatirons Solutions Corporation as a key member of its team. Flatirons Solutions is a seasoned FAA technical consulting and engineering firm with experience in Air Traffic Management, Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio Planning and multiple NexGen systems.

"Flatirons looks forward to expanding its scope of services to the FAA in conjunction with our partner Human Solutions," said Gary Fuller, Flatirons President of Government Solutions. "We have enjoyed a long-term relationship with the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) and look forward to applying our extensive expertise to evolving the next generation of systems and technologies."

The ETASS contract provides for a broad set of technical and professional services to support operations in the EnRoute and Oceanic Service Unit as well as Technical Operations Services, System Operations Services and the Office of Technical Training organizations. Work under the ETASS contract will include such mission critical programs as EnRoute Automation Modernization (ERAM), Advance Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP), Weather and Radar Processor (WARP), Integrated Terminal Weather System (ITWS), Aviation Surface Weather Observation Network (ASWON), Traffic Flow Management (TFM), and Data Communications, as well as other programs throughout the Air Traffic Organization (ATO).
