Eirtech Aviation Services Opts for UA for Upgrades

UniLink Suite Added as Core of A320 Comms Upgrade

Eirtech Aviation Services has chosen to install data links from Universal Avionics as a part of its Airbus A320 upgrade program, ensuring constant, reliable comms between the aircraft and traffic management on the ground.

The core of the system remains Universal's UniLink Communications Management Unit, a unit that ensures continuous access to ATC communications by radio and AOC via ACARS while in flight. Under the upgrade program, the UniLink CMU will deliver datalink benefits like Departure Clearance support with full ACARS feature support, ATN-B1/Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications for text-based ATC interplay, and optimized routing communications.

"We're thrilled to partner with Eirtech Aviation Services to enable Data Comm on the A320," said Dror Yahav, Chief Executive Officer at Universal Avionics. "UniLink brings customers enhanced operational efficiency, safety, and airspace access worldwide."

"Eirtech continually seeks innovative solutions to provide customers with the most advanced aviation technology," said John Clear, Chief Innovations Officer at Eirtech Aviation Services. "Universal Avionics' data link complements our commitment to delivering high-quality upgrades, keeping our clients prepared for modern and future airspace requirements."

Eirtech is an EASA Part 21J approved Design Organization, making them a common go-to for those in the EU looking to bring legacy aircraft into the modern era with a range of functional, well-planned upgrades. With in-house technical, engineering, and finishing capabilities, Eirtech offers an interesting array of fixes for working birds, like off-runway tape applications for ATRs, cargo hold security cameras for narrowbody aircraft, and even hand sanitizer stations for passenger aircraft.
