IBA Provides Goldman Sachs Investors With Wide-Body Aircraft Market Perspective

Online Presentation Also Covered Production Outlook, Order Books

The International Bureau of Aviation (IBA), hosted a market update presentation during a webinar run by the global banking financial services firm Goldman Sachs.  IBA presented on the webinar and shared their views, opinions and analysis on the wide-body aircraft market with an international group of Goldman Sachs' investors and clients.

Speaking on the webinar, Jonathan McDonald, Senior Analyst for IBA Group, presented the session on the wide-body sector.  The presentation gave a view of the current market, looking at the size of fleets for the main two passenger aircraft manufacturers, as well as the percentage of aircraft in storage, availability of certain models, trends for part-out, and retirements of certain types.

The comprehensive presentation also covered the production outlook and order backlogs of specific models of aircraft as well as giving IBA's views and forecasts on the current and future values of selected wide-bodies.  Other areas covered included deferrals and cancellations, freighter conversions, and information on acquisitions in the secondary market.

The webinar was broadcast to a selection of around 30 of Goldman Sachs' top investors from across the globe, and took place at 2000 GMT July 1st.
