Diamond Distributors Announce Tax Advantage Program

Offer Incentives To Cover Tax, Legal Services

Diamond Aircraft reminds anyone looking to purchase a new single-engine piston aircraft that September 30 is the deadline to take advantage of up to $300,000 in depreciation opportunities on a Diamond DA40 XLS.

To help customers take advantage of this opportunity, Diamond distributors are offering a $3,000 cash back incentive, to pay for the tax and legal services needed to take advantage of those tax savings. Customers not eligible for tax savings can apply for a fuel credit in the same amount -- that's enough fuel for 60 hours of flight time, or over 10,000 miles.

"This year's tax act is a great opportunity, especially for people who can act now. By taking delivery of their new Diamond by September, buyers can maximize their tax savings due to the mid-quarter convention," said Errol Bader, General Manager of USAERO, a Diamond distributor. "We encourage people to act now, and not wait until December: the sooner you take delivery of your aircraft, the quicker you get the tax benefits. The new tax opportunity is the best we have seen in a decade -- we expect a high volume of tax-driven purchases this year."

To qualify for these incentives, customers need to order and take delivery of a DA40 XLS aircraft between August 20, 2008 and September 30, 2008.

The 2008 economic stimulus act provides both 50% bonus depreciation on new aircraft purchases, and an expanded maximum $250,000 expensing election for taxpayers who invest less than $1,050,000 in new or used capital assets.

"A DA40 XLS is a smart aircraft choice at any time -- with a 10 gph fuel burn, and low insurance costs, it's an aircraft a CPA can approve of, even without special incentives. Now, with this extraordinary tax treatment, we expect an even stronger demand," added Fred Ahles, President at Premier Aircraft Sales, the largest Diamond distributor. "The last time we had tax incentives like this, we ran out of inventory long before the year was over, which is why we encourage people to act now."
