Curtis Shaw Aircraft Sales Signs On With Aviat Aircraft

To Sell Huskys In California And Nevada

Aviat Aircraft, manufacturers of the Husky, Pup, Pitts Special and Eagle Biplane Kits, has signed an agreement with Curtis Shaw Aircraft Sales to pursue Husky sales and service in California and Nevada. The new dealership, headed up by Curtis Shaw, has been active in the past with sales for New Piper, Cessna and other late model piston and turbo prop aircraft.

“I am excited about selling such a versatile aircraft as the Husky,” said Curtis. “I have always enjoyed flying into remote areas and tight little dirt strips. There are several strips along the coast near here where you can land a Husky and walk 50 yards to the ocean. There are back country areas you can’t access by car or even on foot in a reasonable period of time, but they’re no problem for a Husky. It’s a great machine for exploring and with its one ton gross weight capability; it has a lot of practical applications.”

The Husky is a two seat, tandem, high wing aircraft designed for paved and primitive landing areas. It can be flown with regular or tundra tires, straight or amphibious floats, retractable skis and requires little more than a clearing to provide for STOL maneuvering. With a range of cruise speeds, from 50 to 140 mph, the Husky services sight seeing and cross country mission profiles.
