FDC 6/3571 ZOA CA.. SPECIAL NOTICE.. AIRBORNE LASER OPERATIONS EFFECTIVE FROM 0603220330 UTC UNTIL 0603221300 UTC. AIRBORNE LASER OPERATIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED 25 NM EITHER SIDE OF A LINE BEGINNING AT 293626N/0950932W OR THE HUB110006.8 300000N/1124759W OR THE PPE143090.4 360000N/1124200W OR THE GCN260027.1 400000N/1124200W OR THE FFU229038.6 480000N/1133200W OR THE FCA098028.9 372500N/1220300W OR THE SJC281005.6 FROM 20000 FEET MSL TO 39000 FEET MSL. THE LASER BEAM MAY BE INJURIOUS TO PILOTS/AIRCREWS AND PASSENGERS EYES FOR A DISTANCE OF 14400 FEET BELOW AND 28900 FEET ABOVE THE AIRCRAFT. THIS AREA WILL BE MONITORED BY OBSERVERS AND THE LASER BEAM WILL BE TERMINATED IF NON-PARTICIPATING AIRCRAFT ARE DETECTED THAT MAY ENTER THE AFFECTED AREA. OTHER VISUAL EFFECTS (E.G. FLASHBLINDNESS, AFTER IMAGE, GLARE, AND DISTRACTION) MAY OCCUR AT GREATER DISTANCES. THE DOMESTIC EVENTS NETWORK (DEN) AT (202) 493-5107, IS THE FAA COORDINATION FACILITY.
