Piedmont Airlines Flight Attendants Ratify New Contract

Carrier Operates As US Airways Express On Regional Routes

Piedmont Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), have voted in favor of a new contract that includes pay increases and work rule improvements for the nearly 200 regional Flight Attendants. The agreement was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board (NMB).

"Through unity and determination, Piedmont flight attendants have a new contract that reflects some of our top priorities. The professional contributions of Piedmont flight attendants have been crucial in creating opportunities within the new American Airlines network. We look forward to our future at the world's largest airline," said Anita Jwanouskos, AFA Piedmont President. 

We are very pleased the flight attendants at Piedmont Airlines have voted to ratify the new collective bargaining agreement that recognizes their contribution to Piedmont," said Steve Farrow, Piedmont Airlines president and CEO. "We thank the Piedmont AFA-CWA leadership for their dedication in supporting our professional flight attendants and we also thank the National Mediation Board and the mediator overseeing our negotiations, John Livingood, for their assistance in reaching the agreement."

Piedmont, a wholly owned subsidiary of the new American Airlines, Inc, is the only carrier at Salisbury-Wicomico Regional, Hilton Head Island, and Tweed New Haven Airports. Piedmont flight attendants fly out of domiciles in Charlottesville, VA; Harrisburg, PA; New Bern, NC; Roanoke, VA and Salisbury, MD.
