Tatenhill Aviation Selects Avidyne's IFD540 And IFD440 System

Will Take Delivery Of Multiple Units For Their Aircraft To Meet 8.88 Khz Mandate

Avidyne Corporation has announced that Staffordshire, United Kingdom-based Tatenhill Aviation has selected Avidyne IFD540 and IFD440 avionics systems to for their fleet of aircraft.

“We needed to update our aircraft to meet the upcoming EU mandate for 8.33kHz COM radio frequency spacing and found the Avidyne IFDs to be a terrific choice to meet our needs,” said Paul Shelton, Managing Director of Tatenhill Aviation. “With the IFDs, we get access to many powerful new features including hybrid touch-screen displays, easy-to-use FMS, and upgradeability to 3D Synthetic Vision and wireless capability.”

“Tatenhill’s selection of the IFD440 and IFD540 systems for their fleet of aircraft is another affirmation that our highly-capably products are designed to truly meet the demands of general aviation pilots,” said Mitch Biggs, Avidyne’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “After rigorous review, Tatenhill chose Avidyne for installation in their entry-level and cross-country aircraft because these IFDs truly provide the easiest user interface and the most powerful capabilities.”

Initial deliveries and installations are already underway and are expected to be completed within the next six months.
