A Bush Cat Anyone Can Ride

Low Altitude Plane Has A High Capacity

By David Juwel

There is a small plane in Africa that has been used by the police to hunt for poachers, drug smugglers, and other criminal activists. That plane is the Bush Cat by SkyReach. The reason it is so appreciated is that the little plane cruises at 75-105 mph, can land in a crosswind component of 32 mph, has a large cargo capacity, a useful load of 628 lbs., and exceptional visibility. Big guys can easily get in and out. Sounds like a great plane for property, crop, and cattle surveys, and some bush flying and camping.

The plane has a center control stick, with a throttle armrest on each side of the plane. Simply raise the armrest, step on a wheel, do the slide & twist, and you're in. The bottom edge of the instrument panel affords you plenty of room without scraping your shins.

For cross country flights, or patrolling, the 24.8 gallon gas tank gives you over 7 hrs. and almost 700 miles. The plane seats 2, side-by-side, and can carry 81 lbs. of baggage. It can be flown with the doors on or off, and even with one door on, and the other door off.

The plane can be bought from the U.S. Distributor as a kit for $22,900, firewall rear, or as a ready to fly SLSA for $63,495 with a Rotax 912 ULS - 100 HP engine.
