Queen Leases Helicopter For William And Kate

Aircraft Dubbed 'Heirforce One'

The next time your mother asks what you want for a gift-giving occasion, you might remind her that "the Queen of England got Prince William a helicopter for his birthday."

And not just any helicopter. The aircraft, which has already been dubbed "Heirforce One" by the media, is a six-year-old Agusta 109S Grand. The royal family is reportedly the first owner of the helo.

Sky News reports that the aircraft will be leased by the Queen, and it will be available to other family members for VIP transportation. It is not known if William, a qualified helicopter pilot, will actually be doing the flying or riding in the back.

The Royal family says the aircraft will "whisk" William and Kate to and from their official duties, allowing them to spend quality time at home with their son, Prince George.
