AgustaWestland Delivers Two AW139 Helos to Bristow Group

Will Fly Offshore Oil Transport Missions

The Bristow Group has taken delivery of two AW139 medium twin-engine helicopters during an official ceremony held Tuesday at AgustaWestland's Philadelphia facility, the helicopter manufacturer announced Wednesday. These aircraft will be used to perform offshore transport missions, reinforcing the continued success of the AW139 in the oil & gas industry.

Emilio Dalmasso, Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit, AgustaWestland said, "We are proud to deliver these two AW139 aircraft to Bristow Group, one of the world's largest providers of helicopter services. The AW139 is the best helicopter in its class for offshore transport and we are certain they will be a tremendous addition to the Bristow fleet."

The AW139 is a new generation medium twin-engine helicopter offering unmatched performance, capacity and safety. It meets the most stringent civil and government certification standards, including the FAA and JAA FAR/JAR Part 29 requirements. An ergonomic cockpit, excellent handling characteristics and low vibration levels significantly reduce pilot fatigue.
