Standby Vacuum System Has a New Home

Good To Have A Backup

Precise Flight, Inc. announced Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement with The Vacuum Source, LLC to manufacture and market the SVS-V Standby Vacuum System. This new agreement will create an offsite facility for manufacturing, customer service, order fulfillment and all marketing procedures.

"This arrangement will allow Precise Flight to focus exclusively on its core products: the Pulselite recognition system, Nelson/PreciseFlow Oxygen systems, and of course, Precise Flight SpeedBrakes. Our customers will be better served, as The Vacuum Source will be focusing exclusively on the SVS-V and other vacuum system related products," said Brad LeHuquet, President of Precise Flight.

The Standby Vacuum System for general aviation aircraft was born when Precise Flight expanded upon its vacuum technology, first developed in 1984 to provide sufficient vacuum to operate its SpeedBrakes. The SVS offers low cost backup protection for the vacuum-powered instruments pilots depend on. The company has sold over 17,000 units worldwide.

Part of the continued success of the vacuum system has been its position as the lowest priced vacuum backup alternative on the market. The Vacuum Source has recently launched its website, www.thevacsource.com to provide technical information and access to product documentation. The site will also provide customers a way to purchase replacement parts and upgrade kits.

"While the SVS is easy to install and operate, some of them are now more than 20 years old, which is why customer service and product support are important to us," states Steve Crenshaw, President of the Company.

As a member of the Precise Flight sales team for the past 4 years, Crenshaw knows the product. "The SVS-V provides assurance that the vacuum can be maintained in most circumstances. The Vacuum Source is excited about this new arrangement, and expects to support additional products, educational materials and related IFR flying articles as a primary source for the vacuum system market in the months to come."
