Diamond Aircraft Has A Busy Week Ahead

Exhibiting On Both Sides Of The Atlantic

Diamond Aircraft tells ANN it will truly span the globe over the next several days, as the planemaker exhibits its offerings on two continents in April. Diamond will have displays at the Lakeland Fly-In down in Lakeland, FL (April 17-23), and at AERO 2007 in Friedrichshafen Germany (April 19-22).

As Aero-News has reported, the big news of the week is the unveiling of the all new DA50 SuperStar, Diamond's biggest piston aircraft to date. The prototype will be flown from Diamond's Wiener Neustadt factory to AERO 2007 and will be exhibited along with a fully outfitted static display aircraft.

Also represented at AERO 2007 are the DA40 Diamond Star, the new Rotax powered DV20E Katana, the latest version of the popular HK36 motorglider, and the Platinum Edition of the DA42 Twin Star.

Diamond Airborne Sensing will be displaying the latest in aerial sensor platforms with the DA42 MPP (below), equipped with the Riegl Laser Measurement Systems LMS Q560 full-wave form analysis aerial laser scanner.

The D-Jet is making its European "full scale" debut, with Diamond's second full fuselage mockup and Diamond Simulation's latest creation, the D-Jet flight training simulator (bottom), on display.

On the west side of the Atlantic, at the 2007 Lakeland Fly-In, Diamond's complete piston lineup -- including the DA20-C1, DA40 XL, DA40 FP and DA42 Twin Star -- will be on display, and available for demonstration flights.

Center stage is the D-JET mockup that has been touring the USA, for an up-close look and feel of the controls, avionics and luxurious comfort of Diamond's new personal jet aircraft.

In addition to several models of aircraft, Diamond will also bring back its popular Technology Tent, with explanations of Diamond's technologies, and entertaining video presentations.

The big news for Diamond at Lakeland will be the introduction of the Diamond Flight Center Program, to be launched officially on Monday, April 16. Attendees can visit a prototype of a Diamond Flight Center, including a fully functional Diamond Simulation DA42 flight training device, available for demonstration "flights."
