Philippines Certifies Phenom 300

Airplane Now Approved For Sale In Over 40 Countries

Embraer’s Phenom 300 light-category jet received certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), paving the way for sales in the region. The Phenom 300 is now certificated in more than 40 countries.

“The Phenom 300 is a sophisticated jet that has been designed for high-utilization,” said José Eduardo Costas, Vice-President, Marketing and Sales – Asia Pacific, Embraer Executive Jets. “This makes it extremely well suited for the needs of dynamic corporations and businessmen in a place like the Philippines where connectivity between the islands of the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region and beyond can be enhanced through corporate jet travel. The certification reflects our commitment to making best-in-class products available in the market and contributing to the growth of the local and regional executive jet industry.”

This development complements the certification given to Embraer’s Phenom 100 entry-level jet by the CAAP in October 2009. The Phenom 300 received its original certification from the FAA and  Brazilian aviation authority in 2009. Together with the Phenom 100, more than 300 Phenom-family jets are in service around the world today. In Asia Pacific, the Phenom 300 is approved in Australia, Indonesia and India.
