Bell Makes First 407GXi Sale to Taiwanese Owners

Utilities Conglomerate Ginger Aviation Opts for Bell

Bell has announced the signed purchase agreement of a Taiwan-bound 407GXi helicopter, which will soon join Ginger Aviation.

Ginger Aviation will put their new aircraft to work checking power lines, assessing electrical infrastructure, and performing site inspections. Ginger's recent birth in 2022 has put them on the prowl for suitable aircraft to meet their twin utilities and aviation heritage. Their efforts at maintaining miles of infrastructure led them to select the tech-heavy 407GXi, fully outfitted with the modern NXi integrated flight deck and dual channel FADEC Rolls-Royce M250.

“We are honored that Ginger Aviation has selected the Bell 407GXi as the first helicopter in their fleet,” said Jacinto Monge, managing director over the Asia Pacific region for Bell. “Given the Bell 407’s strong track record in the utility segment globally, we are confident Ginger Aviation’s Bell 407GXi is the right aircraft for powerline wash and management. We look forward to working with Ginger Aviation to support the aircraft’s entry into the fleet when it is delivered later this year.”

Bell did not disclose an exact delivery date, though from the tempo of most deliveries, Ginger should see their new aircraft touch down sometime before late 2024.
