CoronaVirus 'Challenges' Force Postponement Of European Rotors 2020

The Event Will Be Postponed To November 16 -- 18, 2021

The Pandemic continues to curtail aviation events the world over. The latest, European Rotors 2020, has been put off to 2021.

The organizers note that, "Due to latest developments in regard to the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, European Helicopter Association (EHA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) are taking a serious but necessary step: The first edition of EUROPEAN ROTORS will not be held as planned from November 10 to 12, 2020, but will be postponed to November 16 to 18, 2021.

Until the very last moment, our team of EUROPEAN ROTORS was convinced, that despite uncertainties we can run the first edition of the event in 2020. With more than 100 confirmed exhibitors, a unique conference and training program and the always strong support from the industry and the national associations, we felt being on track.

But as many countries and regions which are key markets for the show becoming risk areas due to rising Covid-19 numbers, it is very hard for attendees to travel to Germany due to the upcoming quarantine and travel regulations. We therefore think, that it is not possible anymore to go ahead with the further planning for EUROPEAN ROTORS 2020, as it would not meet our own and especially your requirements for the show under these circumstances.

In addition to these economical reasons, we have to ensure the health and safety of our attendees in the best possible way. Therefore, we have to postpone EUROPEAN ROTORS to November 16 to 18, 2021."

EASA is partnering with EHA for the EUROPEAN ROTORS event also expressed its regrets over the need for the postponement. The training element of the Rotorcraft and VTOL Symposium will also need to be postponed. However, EASA will maintain part of the Symposium agenda in a digital format, alongside some EUROPEAN ROTORS sessions.

In the meantime, the event organizers have confirmed that they are developing a concept to transfer parts of their planned program into digital formats. The aim is to provide the community with educational content, knowledge transfer and latest market information over the next months.

They hope to come back stronger and safer in 2021 and, " create a memorable premiere of EUROPEAN ROTORS. Because of our dedicated and enthusiastic industry, from which we received overwhelmingly positive feedback and contribution, we all are very confident and optimistic in this situation.?
