Two More Frasca Devices Earn JAA Qualification

Two Frasca customers recently received JAA qualification for their Frasca devices. Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England, has received FNPT II MCC qualification for their Canadair Regional Jet Simulator (CRJ), while Oxford Aviation Training (OAT) has received FNPT II MCC qualification for their Frasca 737 device, their second Frasca 737 simulator in operation.

Atlantic Flight Training’s device will be used for Multi Crew Cooperation and Jet Orientation courses (JOC). The device simulates the popular CRJ200 regional jet, and is certified as an FNPT II MCC. Features include Collins Pro-line IV Avionics Suite, FMS 4200 flight management system, Electric Control Loading (ECL) and Frasca’s TruVision 220 visual display system. Atlantic Flight Training also uses a Frasca DA-42 Simulator built for the all new Diamond DA-42 aircraft. The device features Garmin G1000 and Frasca's TruVision 170.

OATs 737 FNPT II MCC device features 6-axis electric motion, TruVision, simulated EFIS and FMS and digital control loading and sound. Based at Goodyear Airport in Phoenix, AZ, Oxford Airline Training Center (OATC) received JAA FNPT II qualification for their two new Frasca TruFlite flight simulators last spring.

The Frasca TruFlite simulators, (defined as Flight Navigation Procedures Trainers, FNPT, in JAR regulations) were approved for 40 hours of training credit. The devices will be used during the first 135 hours of foundation flight training on their Integrated airline pilot training courses. Oxford Aviation Training has delivered high quality pilot training for over forty years and is a longtime customer of Frasca International.

Frasca International, Urbana, Illinois, manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, Universities and military organizations worldwide. Product range includes Flight Training Devices (FTDs), FNPT I, II and IIMCC devices, CPTs, Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and more for all aircraft types, fixed wing and rotary.
