Careers In Aviation, NBCFAE Name 2007 Scholarship Winner

ERAU Student Awarded $2,000

The National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE) and Careers in Aviation told ANN Friday a recipient has been selected for the 2007 NBCFAE scholarship award.

A student majoring in an aviation-related degree program with a grade point average of 3.00 or above and a financial need were the eligibility requirements for applicants.

Quynh Thu Nguyen Thi, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University student, will apply the $2,000 scholarship towards completing her Bachelors degree in Air Transportation Management. Ms. Nguyen Thi’s long term goal includes completing her Masters degree and working for a major airline in business management.

"I feel truly honored and delighted to receive the 2007 Careers in Aviation -- National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees Scholarship," said Quynh Thu Nguyen Thi. "Awarding this scholarship means a lot to me and gives me additional motivation in pursuing my education and future career."

Non-profit Careers in Aviation, Inc. assists students to explore the wide variety of opportunities in aviation.
