Former U.S. Embraer President Joins Bye Aerospace Strategic Advisory Council

Samuel Hill Held Positions With Embraer, HondaJet, Consulting Firms

Samuel Hill, former U.S. Embraer President and Vice Chairman and recent Honda Jet Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has joined the Strategic Advisory Council for Bye Aerospace, Inc.

Hill (pictured) retired from Honda Aircraft Company in December where he was Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.  For most of his aviation career he held leadership posts at Embraer, including President and Vice Chairman of Embraer Aircraft Company (USA).  Before joining Embraer he was Director of Aviation of the Miami-based investment firm Brooke Group, Ltd., as well as President of MilBrooke Helicopter Ltd.  At the Brooke Group, he was responsible for evaluating aviation industry investments. Before joining the Brooke Group in 1988, Hill served as General Manager of Aircraft and Flight Services for Piedmont Aviation Inc. Earlier, he was Director of Flight Operations for AVX Corp., and chief pilot for Allied Mills Inc., a Continental Grain Co.

Hill is an ATP-rated pilot with over 15,000 flight hours and is type certified in a number of business jets.  His pilot and industry experience will be valuable at Bye Aerospace where he is advising on advanced programs.  Hill has been interested in cutting edge technology and believes that to succeed, aviation needs to innovate.  “With the current and planned developments underway, particularly the solar electric hybrid ‘Silent Guardian’ UAV, Bye Aerospace is fundamentally changing the paradigm of cost effective performance,” he said.

“It is an honor to welcome Sam to our Strategic Advisory Council,” said George Bye, CEO of Bye Aerospace. “His leadership and depth of knowledge of the aviation industry, plus his hands-on experience as an aviator, will be a valuable contribution to our civil and defense efforts.”
