Anchorage Police Looking For Stolen Plane Wings

Trailer Swiped From Motel Parking Lot

Police officers in Anchorage, AK hope tips from the public will help them recover a stolen pickup truck... and the trailer attached to it, which had some valuable aviation-related cargo inside.

The Anchorage Daily News reports a set of Cessna aircraft wings were inside the trailer, which was swiped along with its tow vehicle from a Motel 6 parking lot Saturday night.

Officials say the truck is a 1994 Ford F-250 SuperCab 4x4, with the Alaska license plate FCP 369. The trailer is a white, 'V'-nose bumper-pull Pace American, with Wyoming license plate 13868. The trailer has two axles, with one set of white rims and one set of silver rims.

Should anyone stumble across the wings sans trailer, they're painted white and silver.

The local Crime Stoppers chapter is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for information regarding the wing-theft, if those tips lead to an arrest. The owner will pay a $1,000 reward, as well, regardless of an arrest -- they just want the wings back.

Tips may be submitted anonymously at the FMI link below.
