Jetpool Hosts 'The Future of Business Aviation' VLJ Show

See 'Entire VLJ Landscape' At Charlotte In March

Aviation Management company Jetpool, LLC, told ANN Tuesday it's hosting a Very Light Jet (VLJ) show on March 2, 2007 in Charlotte, NC at the Wilson Air Center, Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Calling it "The Future of Business Aviation," Jetpool hopes to generate interest (and sales) for VLJs at the show.

According to Jetpool, attendees will discover through static displays, exhibits and seminars how a VLJ can help them gain a competitive advantage, more effectively utilize the time of key employees, or simply improve quality of life.

The exhibition is to feature aircraft from Cessna and Eclipse plus static display, full-scale mock-ups from Spectrum, Embraer, Adam, Honda, and Diamond for their jets under development. Jetpool says support manufacturers like AirCell, SatCom Direct, and DTC Duat will also be present.

Jetpool CEO and co-founder, Ryan Stone, told ANN, "This show is an opportunity to see firsthand, in one afternoon, almost the entire VLJ landscape. Jetpool wants to apply its turnkey management expertise to simplify the VLJ ownership experience, enabling businesses and individuals to take full advantage of their aircraft."

Besides the actual exhibits, subject matter experts are to present seminars in five different areas: VLJ 101, insurance, legal, tax, and financing.

Jetpool will kick of the seminars with a "VLJ 101" session that focuses on understanding the overall marketplace, factors which may influence the choice of one aircraft over another, and provide a fresh look at how a VLJ can be used to grow revenue.

Hays Insurance can help potential aircraft owners better understand their insurance needs and how VLJ rates will be determined. Owner-operators will also appreciate Hays' insight into the value of mentorship pilot programs.

Andrew M. Riolo, Attorney at Law, will discuss the implications of various legal structures and operational considerations. Advocate Consulting plans to share the tax implications associated with those ownership decisions. Finally, Bank of America will help attendees learn what it will take to finance a VLJ.

"The very light jet is the newest time machine for the busy corporate executive," said Jim Dickerson, National Market Executive, Corporate Aircraft Finance at Bank of America. "As a national leader in financing private aircraft, Bank of America is very interested in the market for very light jets. We have established preferred lending relationships with several of the very light jet manufacturers and expect to be active in financing this exciting new generation of aircraft for our clients nationwide."

Jetpool touts itself as a turnkey aviation management company with a focus on the upcoming VLJ market. It offers aircraft management, acquisition services and aviation consulting.

Jetpool says The Future of Business Aviation VLJ show is about understanding this new market by experiencing VLJs first-hand and learning from subject matter experts.
