Pulaski, Kentucky Airshow Delayed to 2024

Airport Renovations Continue at Lake Cumberland Airport

The Lake Cumberland Air Show will have to wait 'til next year, say officials, thanks to renovations to the tarmac at their home base of Lake Cumberland Regional.

As consolation, organizers promise that the show will be even bigger and better than 2022's, which brought out more than 8,000 attendees. The Cumberland Air Show is a young one, only getting off the ground in 2021. The show has aimed to revitalize interest in local aviation, and cement the airport in the local consciousness as a vital part of the community.

“The Lake Cumberland Air Show has quickly become one of our region’s fastest-growing outdoor events,” said Bobby Clue, director of the Somerset-Pulaski Chamber of Commerce. “It serves as an important avenue to salute our veterans, involves the community and showcases aviation at our world-class airport.”

“We created the Lake Cumberland Air Show to put the spotlight on Somerset-Pulaski County and its beautiful regional airport, as well as the aviation and aerospace industries, and we have certainly done that during the last two years,” said Chris Girdler, CEO of the County's Economic Development Authority. “The Lake Cumberland Regional Airport is a first-class facility, and now with these important upgrades to the tarmac we’ll have even more to celebrate when the air show returns in 2024.”

The next Lake Cumberland Air Show will be held on September 21st, 2024.
