Mooney Announces Alliance With Million Air Chain of FBOs
Officials with Mooney Airplane
Company have announced an alliance with select Million Air
fixed-base operations (FBO) across the country to develop a fuel
and maintenance saving program for its customers. The program was
presented and discussed with the Million Air franchise owners at
the 2004 NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention.
Mooney owners will receive a per-gallon fuel discount in
addition to a percentage off of maintenance services at select
Million Air locations for a one-year period. Details of the program
are being finalized with each Million Air franchise owner and will
be formally announced in the coming weeks.
"Million Air is known for providing high quality facilities and
customer service to the aviation industry," said David Copeland,
vice president of sales and marketing for Mooney. "What better FBO
partner for Mooney as we work to develop an added-value program for
our loyal customers.
Mooney will also be placing a demo plane at the Million Air
Houston facility as part of its expanded "Fly before you buy" sales
program. In exchange for premier hangar space in the high-traffic
Houston facility, Million Air CEO and Houston facility owner, Roger
Woolsey, will use the Mooney airplane, which will be outfitted with
the Million Air logo, for Million Air business travel.
"Million Air is pleased to be the FBO of choice for the loyal
Mooney customer base," said Woolsey. "And, I am excited to be able
to use this fast, high-performance airplane to travel to
business meetings and Million Air events across the country. This
freedom and convenience to travel when I want is the number one
reason I became a pilot and started my first business in the
industry, a private jet charter company."
