Every year, Cessna invests crucial time and assets to provide
their customers with the utmost service. In order to provide
this service to Citation owners and operators, Cessna created a
worldwide network of nine Cessna-owned Citation Service Centers and
24 Authorized Citation Service Centers.
At each center, expert Citation technicians can provide
specialized services including on-ground support and phase
inspections, avionic and airframe modifications, damage repair,
engine overhauls, hot section inspections, interior refurbishment,
and exterior painting.
In order to make sure that all services are completed as quickly
and efficiently as possible, Cessna also developed an extensive
network for parts distribution. Citation Parts Distribution
(CPD) supplies parts worldwide for aircraft owners and operators,
FBO’s, and satellite Citation Service Centers. By
monitoring service activity at all Citation service locations, CPD
is able to track part usage trends and identify fast moving parts
(parts that have ready demand) before stock runs low. This
helps to ensure that when a customer gets an AOG requirement
(Aircraft on Ground), CPD can fill that requirement same day,
drastically decreasing service wait time.
Cessna remains dedicated to building this network of customer
service and growing the number of service centers available for
customers. On February 2, 2010, the Cessna Aircraft Company
announced a further expansion to their Citation Service Center
network.
In cooperation with its sister company, Bell Helicopter, Cessna
will open a parts distribution center for Citation operators in
Asia and the Pacific Rim region. Mark Paolucci,
Cessna’s Senior Vice President of Customer Service, said in
the announcement, “It made sense…to bring the same
increased Citation parts availability and decreased response time
for AOG situations to our customers in this
region.”
