Airborne-Flight Training 08.26.20: 3 PP-Gs In 1 Day!, AFA DA40 NGs, Army Aviator

Also: Girls in Aviation Day, Duncan Powerplant Apprenticeship, Embry-Riddle Students, FAA Chart Supplement

Not too long ago, Right Rudder Aviation (RRA) launched a Private Pilot - Glider (PP-G) program that has become a training hub allowing them to attract and train safe pilots efficiently -- and economically.

RRA is a full service FBO, flight school, and aircraft dealer based at the Inverness Airport (KINF) in Inverness, FL. The PP-G program includes everything necessary to become an FAA certificated Private Pilot - Glider at what they say is the lowest price point anywhere -- and we have no evidence to contradict them. The package even includes a headset, checkride/written test prep, and ground school for just $2,999. And it works! Just this week, three students passed their PP-G checkrides in a single day, with two of them starting the program with zero time. The lucky new aviators are Buddy Mason, Thomas Soto, and Jeremy Stoel. Aspen Flight Academy, a 501c3 Not-For-Profit flight school based at KASE, recently took delivery of two brand new Austro Engine jet-fuel powered DA40 NG aircraft. Aspen Flight Academy and Diamond Aircraft Industries have launched a joint effort to provide Aspen High School students access to the latest state-of-the-art flight training technology as part of the Every Student Flies (ESF) program. Well... we can't say that we didn't see this coming... Starting in October, commissioned and warrant officers selected for initial entry flight training will be required to serve at least a decade once they become an Army aviator, according to a recent all-Army activity message. The new policy doesn’t include Soldiers currently in training, said Chief Warrant Officer 5 William S. Kearns, aviation and officer policy integrator for the Army’s G-1 office. “We’re looking at troops selected for flight training in the fiscal year 2021 and beyond.” All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
