Are You Ready? Oshkosh 2003 Fly-In NOTAM Available For Download

The official NOTAM for the 51st EAA Oshkosh Fly-In is now available for viewing/download on the EAA website. EAA and FAA cooperated on the design and production of the NOTAM, which will assist pilots in preparation for their AirVenture flights. It describes official arrival and departure flight procedures in effect from July 26 through August 5, including procedures for the many types of aircraft that fly to Oshkosh for the event, as well as aircraft that land at nearby airports. The annual sport and general aviation gathering runs July 29-August 4 at Wittman Regional Airport.

Changes for 2003 include the following:
  • Aircraft manufactured in 1967 are now allowed in Vintage (Contemporary class) areas.
  • South Briefing Annex added for pilot briefings.
  • Blue dot added to Runway 18R.
  • Warbird/High Performance Arrival minimum speed changed to 130 knots.
  • Yellow Flow: Left base entry for Runway 27.

To receive a free printed copy of the AirVenture NOTAM, you can request a copy with their online form, call EAA Membership Services at 800/564-6322, or e-mail membership@eaa.org. Copies will also be available when printed through any one of 15 selected Automated Flight Service Stations (AFSS) throughout the country. Downloads will also be available from www.faa.gov/NTAP.
