M7 Aerospace Names Rick Hundley President And CEO

Succeeds Retiring CEO Ron Frederick

M7 Aerospace has named J.R. "Rick" Hundley to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of the company's operations and financial performance. Hundley succeeds current M7 President and CEO Ron Frederick, who will retire in December.

Hundley brings more than 25 years of experience in senior aerospace and defense management to M7. He has a broad-based background in strategic sales and marketing, manufacturing, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, procurement, logistics and public affairs. Specific to M7's core businesses, he has extensive experience with rotary and fixed wing aerostructures, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul and logistics support for both commercial and military aircraft.

Previously Hundley held senior executive positions with Business Strategies International, a Washington, DC consulting firm; SAFRAN USA Inc., a subsidiary of global aerospace components provider Safran Group; as well as with aerospace giants Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.

Hundley holds bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Mathematics and Science and an MBA in Finance and Accounting.

M7 Aerospace operates five business units including Department of Defense Aircraft Logistics Support Contracting, Aerostructures Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul, Aircraft Parts and Service Support, and Engineering Services.

M7 Aerospace's aviation tradition of maintenance and repair, government logistics support and aerospace manufacturing began with the company's original founding more than 80 years ago as the Fairchild Aviation Corporation.

Located on the international airport in San Antonio, M7 Aerospace operates from a 426,000 sq. ft. factory complex formerly occupied by Fairchild Aircraft. M7 acquired the assets of Fairchild Aircraft in December 2002.

M7 Aerospace began operations on April 1, 2003 with approximately 175 employees. The company now employs nearly 500 people worldwide and more than 300 in San Antonio.
