Sikorsky To Open Korean S-76 Support Center

Will Provide Maintenance Services For Asian Helo Fleet

Sikorsky Aircraft announced Monday it will establish a customer support center with Times Aerospace Korea (TAK) at the Kimpo Aerospace Industrial Complex in Korea.

The 200,000-square foot state-of-the-art maintenance facility has been constructed on 125 acres. The support center will provide technical support, spare parts, avionics and general maintenance for rotor wing aircraft.

"Asia has become a significant region for S-92 and S-76 helicopters and Sikorsky is excited about the potential for joint efforts with Times Aerospace Korea as we establish this customer support center," said Sikorsky President Jeffrey Pino. "This facility will enhance our ability to provide enhanced support and responsiveness for our customers in Asia, where interest in these aircraft continues to grow."

The announcement came at the conclusion of the 2007 Seoul Air Show.
