Another Bizjet Mishap -- This One In New York

Slides Off Runway At Westchester Airport

A NetJets Cessna Citation V rolled off the end of the runway at New York's Westchester County Airport Thursday night. There were conflicting reports on the number of passengers aboard the corporate aircraft. Local media reports said there were four passengers and two crew members on board -- the FAA accident report said there were only two passengers. In either case, authorities on the ground said no one was hurt.

The accident, at approximately 1800 local, forced officials to close Westchester County Airport for most of the evening. Flight operations resumed at about 2200. But hundreds of passengers were forced to find accomodations for the night after many of them had to walk from their planes across the snowy runways to get back to the terminal.
