TCM Confirms Reduced Engine Pricing

Company Touts Replacement Option, Instead Of Overhaul

Confirming statements made to ANN earlier this week, late Thursday evening Teledyne Continental Motors announced it has reduced its list pricing on all aftermarket new and factory-rebuilt engines by as much as 10 percent.

The new Genuine Continental Program is intended to lure owners into buying a factory-rebuilt or new engine at TBO, versus paying for a complete overhaul of the existing engine.

"What we hope to accomplish with Genuine Continental Pricing is twofold," said TCM president Rhett Ross. "First we are standardizing what consumers pay for Continental engines no matter where they are purchased. Second, we are promoting the fact that installing a new or rebuilt engine at TBO is a cost and quality effective alternative to an engine overhaul."

TCM says benefits to the aircraft owner of installing a new or rebuilt engine at TBO include a zero-time logbook, full compliance with all current airworthiness directives and service bulletins, and faster turnaround time.
