Certified! Garmin G1000 For Cessna CitationJet

Approved For WAAS Approaches

The FAA has granted Garmin International an STC for the G1000 integrated flight deck in the Cessna CitationJet (Model 525, serial numbers 0001-0359) the company announced Monday. This RVSM compliant system will result in approximately 100 pounds of weight savings, and will give pilots the advantages of flying WAAS approaches with Garmin's GFC 700 autopilot, electronic charts, datalink weather and optional Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT).

The G1000 flight deck on the Cessna CitationJet is one of the most robust avionics systems on the market today and has a wide array of standard and optional features:

  • Two 10.4-inch primary flight displays (PFD) replace many of the traditional cockpit instruments and presents this information in an integrated fashion on a large-format display, and the 12-inch multi-function display (MFD) puts all aircraft-systems monitoring and flight-planning functions at the pilot's fingertips.
  • Pedestal-mounted, alpha-numeric keypad that enables the pilot to control the avionics' functionality from a center console.
  • GFC 700 autopilot with features like coupled WAAS approaches, vertical navigation, and flight level change (FLC).
  • FMS with dual WAAS LPV.
  • Class-B terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS).
  • Dual integrated solid-state attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS) that can align while in motion, including in-flight dynamic restarts.
  • RVSM compliant.
  • Digital air-data computers.
  • Dual digital audio control panels.
  • Target N1 computer.
  • GDL 69A with integrated satellite weather datalink and digital-quality audio via XM WX Satellite Weather (service available to U.S. and Canadian customers with a XM subscription).
  • Garmin SafeTaxi with over 950 U.S. airports to help pilots navigate unfamiliar airports by identifying runways, taxiways, runway incursion hotspots, and hangars, as well as the aircraft's exact location on the field.
  • Garmin FliteCharts with electronic versions of departure procedures, standard terminal arrival routes, approach charts and airport diagrams.
  • Optional features include Garmin's GSR 56 Iridium transceiver, GTS 850 and 820 TCAS I and TAS traffic systems, SVT, ChartView and Class-A TAWS.

Cessna's CitationJet is an entry level business jet that was first announced at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention in 1989. It first flew in 1991, and first delivery was in 1993.

All installations will be performed by Cessna-owned Citation Service Centers, and CitationJet owners and operators should contact a Cessna Citation Service Center for pricing and scheduling an installation.
