AD: Fokker Services B.V. Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2018-07-11

PRODUCT: Certain Fokker Services B.V. Model F28 Mark 0100 airplanes.

ACTION: Final Rule; request for comments.

SUMMARY: This AD requires contacting the FAA to obtain instructions for addressing the unsafe condition on these products, and doing the actions specified in those instructions.

This AD was prompted by interference between certain passenger service unit (PSU) panels, when in the deployed/open position, and the nearby emergency exit door cover.

DATES: This AD becomes effective April 23, 2018. Comments must be received by May 21, 2018.

COST: Currently, there are no affected U.S.-registered airplanes. The FAA estimates the cost of compliance for an affected airplane that is placed on the U.S. Register in the future as follows:

  • Inspection: $85 per aircraft for one work hour.
  • Reporting: $85 per aircraft for one work hour.
