Piper Aircraft on Tuesday named Michael C. Hinderberger as vice president of Engineering. He will be responsible for all Piper engineering and new product development activities.

"We welcome Michael Hinderberger to the Piper senior leadership team," said Piper CEO Geoffrey Berger.
