Introducing Staff, Stringers, Videographers, And People Who Make It All Work
Anyone who's ever been to Oshkosh knows that there are hundreds of events and activities as well as tens of thousands of people that descend (some quite literally) on Wittman Regional Airport in mid-summer. While we have a very hard-working and dedicated staff, ANN could not provide you with the extensive information we do without the help of some equally ... some might say more ... dedicated volunteers who give a week of their time to make sure you have the best possible coverage of the show. As we lead up to this year's edition of AirVenture, we'll be introducing you to the people that make all of that possible.
David Juwel: Stringer
David Juwel has been in or around aviation for over 55 years, and written articles for the aviation media for a fair number of those years. He is a licensed pilot and has flown in numerous military aircraft, including the President's helicopter, and a WWII bomber.
In addition he has flown in a large assortment of general aviation aircraft, to include single-engine, multi-engine, jets, sailplanes, hot air balloons, trikes, helicopters, and gyroplanes. He has flown over a million miles in Learjets, landing in all 50 states, plus Mexico and Canada.
He is an experienced aviation photographer and was chosen as the official photographer of a 50th anniversary military airshow. As a former Operations Manager, he helped take a company from infancy to multimillion dollar status, and he helped guide a kit-built helicopter company from start-up to first delivery. He has three earned college degrees, and is currently certified as an advanced professional business coach.
