Aerospace Leaders Gather To Do The Vision Thing

AIAA Brings Togher Government, Biz, Education Sectors

Senior decision-makers and developing leaders in government, industry, and academia will come together to examine and debate the issues affecting the aerospace industry and plan a common strategy to move forward in the next century of aerospace. Alan Mulally, President and CEO, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and Duane P. Andrews, Executive Vice President, SAIC, will chair the International Air & Space Symposium that will be held 19-21 April 2004 at the Washington Court Hotel, in Washington (DC).

With the assistance of AIAA corporate partners such as Boeing, GE Aircraft Engines, Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, and SAIC, we are assured a dynamic program. In addition, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the Confederation of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS), the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are on board as affiliate partners.

Discussions will include the creation of a common aerospace vision, aviation safety and security, aviation environmental impacts, workforce and education, space, and space policy, to name a few. AIAA Congressional Visits Day, an International Policy Seminar, and the AIAA Honors Night Banquet, are special events associated with the Symposium.
