Signs Retrofit Deal For Customer Operating MIL Helicopters,
Antonov Aircraft
Becker Avionics, a provider of communication, navigation,
surveillance and search & rescue equipment for airborne and
ground applications, has taken another step towards increasing its
presence in the Eastern Europe market. Becker Avionics landed a
multi-aircraft order for the delivery of its high-quality
integrated avionics packages based on the Radio Management Unit
product, the "RMU-5000".
The Becker Avionics IFR "Prime-Line" package is a retrofit
enhancement for the cockpit with its central Radio Management Unit
(RMU-5000), remotely controlling the VHF/AM Transceiver and the
VOR/LOC/GS NAV. The ADF Receiver RA3502 is also foreseen as an
option. The newly certified remote Marker Receiver MKR3300
completes the up-grade package. This affordable DZUS mount retrofit
equipment package was chosen by the Customers due to its small
dimensions, light weight, low power consumption and easiness of
installation.
Roland Becker, President & CEO stated "Eastern European
interest in modernizing its fleet of civilian aircraft provides
great opportunities for Becker Avionics. This "retrofit demanding"
aviation market is very promising for us and Becker Avionics has
seen a steadily increasing demand. He continued, "In order to
support this increasing demand as well as the continued development
of the Russian aviation market, Becker Avionics has formed and
established 'Becker Russia' in 2007."
