COST: The FAA estimates that this AD will affect 10 propane cylinders. The cost of compliance is estimated as follows:

  • The FAA estimates that it would take about 2 work-hours to replace a cylinder, at an average labor rate of $85 per work-hour, and required parts would cost about $3,000 per product. Based on these figures, the FAA estimates a total cost of $3,170 per balloon.
